The mission of the Laurens Public Library Foundation, Inc. is to benefit the community by raising, managing and distributing funds to enhance the services and collections of the library, and to increase public awareness of library needs and services.

Wills and Bequests

Gifts to the Laurens Public Library Foundation, Inc, are tax deductible not only for income tax purposes but also for federal estate and Iowa inheritance tax purposes. We recommend consulting with your attorney regarding the type of provision in your will best suited for your particular circumstance.

Annual Gift Clubs

Gift Clubs are designed to recognize donors. All gifts received by the library are cumulative during the fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Contributions to the sustaining fund, endowment fund, memorials, special purpose gifts and bequests are totaled for the year. Gifts in any amount are appreciated.

The Foundation's annual fundraiser is held during November. This includes a pancake supper and a new book sale at the library. Projects funded by the Foundation include memorial books, programs for children and adults, and Preschool Outreach Baskets .
